Making a Difference at True North Polaris House
At True North Polaris House, grants play a crucial role in ensuring we can continue providing transformative support to young adults transitioning out of the foster care system. With the backing of grants from local and state organizations, we address the critical needs of our residents, create a stable foundation for their futures, and advance our mission to empower self-sufficiency and community engagement.
Enhancing Programs & Services Through Grants
Life Skills Workshops
Covering costs for professional facilitators and materials for sessions on budgeting, cooking, career readiness and more.
Education Support
Funding scholarships and emergency financial assistance to help residents achieve academic and vocational goals.
Health & Wellness Programs
Supporting partnerships with local businesses that offer free chiropractic care, fitness coaching, and mental health services to residents.
Sustaining a Safe and Empowering Environment
Thanks to these grants, True North Polaris House has served over 210 young adults since its inception, providing a safe and stigma-free environment where residents can rebuild their lives. For many, Polaris House is the first stable and supportive home they have known, allowing them to focus on building a brighter future.
Our Collaborative Approach
We believe in working together to create the best outcomes for the young adults we serve. Our partnerships with over 45 community organizations include Boulder County Housing and Human Services, Boulder Valley School District, Voices for Children (CASA), and TGTHR. These collaborations allow us to provide wraparound services, from academic support to mental health resources and job placement.
We continue to seek opportunities to secure additional funding to strengthen our services, reduce financial barriers, and expand the impact of our mission. Through grants and community partnerships, we ensure that the residents of Polaris House receive the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive.
