Our History

True North Polaris House has a long-standing history of serving Boulder County’s most vulnerable youth.

Originally established in 2003 as Polaris House, a group home for young adults transitioning out of foster care, it was founded by Sage Community Partnership and Boulder Housing Partners. Since then, we have evolved through several phases, reflecting our commitment to adapting to the needs of the youth we serve.

2012

Polaris House became Realities for Children Boulder County, broadening its scope and services.

2019

Realities for Children Boulder County purchased the Polaris House property from Boulder Housing Partners, ensuring long-term stability for the program.

2021

We rebranded as True North Young Adult Services, solidifying our identity and focus.

2024

Now operating as True North Polaris House, we remain steadfast in our mission to empower young adults through supportive housing and holistic services.

Over the years, we’ve helped hundreds of young adults find stability and a path toward independence. Polaris House has provided transitional housing for more than 210 individuals, creating a lasting impact on their lives and futures.

Our Vision for the Future

As we look ahead, True North Polaris House is committed to:

1

Expanding housing options and capacity to serve more young adults.
